Development Team Lead - C# - ASP.NET - £55,000 - Essex

My client is an award winning Financial Services organisation, they are looking for a Development team Lead to join their development team that concentrates on the delivery of small/medium sized builds for the organisation.

These developments would generally be a strategic system change or enhancement requiring up to a combined 30 days analysis, build & test to deliver.

Although predominantly a technical Team, a proportion of the team's time will be spent liaising with business users to understand complex business models and capture requirements. The successful translation of these requirements into efficient working solutions is critical for the continued effectiveness of the team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Management of People, Process & capacity, but will also have an equal amount of "hands on" responsibility.

The successful Team Lead will be expected to:
* Maintain a detailed plan for the team.
* Chair regular meetings with business representatives to agree ongoing development priorities.
* Team building and management, including carrying out appraisals, pay reviews, team development plans an recruitment.
* Ensure all holidays and absence are managed and tracked.
* Ensure team's developments adhere to the organisations development standards and all documentation surrounds team's output is maintained at all times.
* Build solutions using common development tools (ASP.NET, C#.NET, T-SQL).
* Work closely with various business and IT teams to ensure the accurate capturing of requirements.
* Challenge requirements to ensure effective and efficient development of applications
* Design and develop solutions in line with the approach agreed within the team
* Communicate clearly with all parties before, during and after a solution is developed and delivered
* Produce high level build scope (technical design) documents.
* Produce system specific organic continuous design documents.
* Produce development estimates for system changes prior to build commencing.
* Implement coded unit/integration tests and provide evidence during/post development
* Provide support to System Test and UAT environments.
* Provide support to the Application Support teams.
* Develop strong working relationships with all IT functions.
* Continually investigate, suggest and implement ways to improve the development processes.
* Track tasks on a daily basis, participate in scrums and daily stand ups, report on progress on a regular basis.

Essential Skills:
* Good understanding of project lifecycles and risk
* C#.Net (.Net Framework 4.0 and earlier)
* ASP.NET
* T-SQL, SQL Server 2008
* IIS7/7.5, XML, Javascript, HTML, XSLT
* MS Reporting Services
* Writing unit and integration tests
* Configuration management
* Recent experience of developing technical solutions in a complex environment
