Marketing Services Manager

South East | £35000.00 - £40000.00 per annum + up to 60% bonus | Permanent

In this leadership driven position, you will be tasked with providing and creating direction while also being 'hands on' in the role. Your daily responsibilities will be as follows:

1. Develop and implement a marketing strategy to effectively utilise the marketing budget within the full range of the marketing mix to add value to the sales teams and new product launches.
2. Maintain the A and P budget within agreed limits and timescales; produce monthly update of budget spreadsheet.
3. Manage and develop internal and external communications within budget and timescales.
4. Manage cost effective suppliers for print, PR and other external services within budget.
5. Manage market analysis and industry research and its effective communication and integration within the business.
6. Manage and develop a marketing database for effective CRM campaigns.
7. Ensure that all Marketing Services output is consistent with brand guidelines.
8. Provide a monthly report on marketing services activity and refurbishment product group activity as required by the Board.
9. Liaising with the marketing and Sales colleagues, help create for Board approval, and then execute, a coherent and effective fully integrated Sales and Marketing plan and strategy for this product group.
10. Have a good understanding of the markets where the relevant product group is active and have regular liaison with the sales teams and other appropriate business functions through training, presentations, seminars, exhibitions etc to support them and their customers.
11. Act as project champion on all new product development projects / factored product projects within the product group, working closely with the product development team and all other appropriate business functions in line with the company milestone process including the launch, initial sales volumes and stocking policy and up until handover to technical support.
12. To manage stock levels of relevant product portfolio and forecast accordingly by working closely with sales colleagues.
13. To understand market legislation and drivers to ensure it's reflective in product communications.
14. Manage the relationship with suppliers of factored finished goods.
15. Develop pricing policies / positioning strategies for the product group.
16. Take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions throughout the course of their business activities, acting in accordance with the Company Safety Policy and setting a personal example at all times.

The right candidate will have:

* A proven creative Marketer with a good track record.
* Experience of UK construction and distribution channels.
* Strong creative design, copywriting skills and knowledge of all levels of print/production process.
* Motivate self in addition to the team.
* An appreciation of the key elements of Marketing communication, advertising media, direct marketing, sales promotion and PR.
* The minimum vocational/academic qualifications
Ten years within a business to business marketing environment - academic marketing qualifications desirable.
* Professional qualification required with the relevant level
Chartered Institute Of Marketing desirable.
* Knowledge and level of proficiency in the use of IT software packages
Experienced user of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
