Our client is currently looking to recruit an Online Trading Manager in to their Ecommerce team based in London, salary up to £60,000 depending on experience and skillset.

The key responsibilities for this role are:

-Scope, plan and manage the execution of merchandising strategy for the websites.
-Oversee the management and delivery of all merchandising opportunities working with the trading managers and key suppliers.
-Analyse customer journeys to improve usability, accessibility, brand portrayal, conversion rate and increase basket size.
-Optimise the site content, structure and taxonomy based on user behaviour analysis.
-Address all site defects and customer patterns using analytics data - looking at KPI's such as bounce rate, search data and promotion and product performance using web and business data

-Creation of strong commercial propositions and promotional plans through from inception through to execution
-Good understanding of business financials covering sales, margin, stock and cost management
-Evaluation of competitive marketplace to ensure business is always positioned to be no.1 through choice, stock depth , price and proposition
-Ability to leverage off other depts and create good working relationships to ensure the web is front of mind across other business functions
-Team leader who can motivate the team around shared goals and objectives and lead by example.

About you

-Commercially astute with the ability to prioritise team around the elements of the business that will make the biggest difference to sales
-Results orientated and always challenging the business on the basis of continual improvement. (only as good as yesterdays sales)
-Strong multi-tasker who can keep a number of short term and medium term projects and plans moving whilst remaining calm under pressure
Must be structured and organised in approach with a problem solving mentality rather than escalating all issues or not dealing with them directly.
-Likely to have e-commerce experience although candidates with a strong category or merchandise background will be considered as long as they exhibit characteristics highlighted above
