The successful candidate will be able to develop innovative and commercially-strong design strategies to move the online channel forward whilst also being confident and proactive enough to see these concepts through to a highly successful conclusion.

Fashion experience is preferred however the best web designers will be able to hold their own and an extremely fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

* Develop and manage artwork projects across the brands' websites, from initial brief through to finalised
production.

* Ensure you code to maximise the ability of our platform to optimise performance of the site.

* Produce quality creative work for the Company including e-mail campaigns, landing pages, microsites,
imagery, mobile and social media.

* Ensure all design starts with a usability, IA and accessibility framework


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* Maximises the customer experience, from landing page to transaction, with clear messaging and
signposting, focussing on best practice IA and usability.
* Ensure layout and visual appearance of the sites are in line with branding and W3C and delivers the
business strategy.
* Evolve the online brands, shaping the design for the next twelve months.
* Use a combination of design skills and front-end technical knowledge in order to decide on how material
will be presented to the online customer.
* Work closely with marketing and web merchandising departments to construct an online environment to
fit the quality of the brands.
* Produce highly innovative, industry-leading emails.
* Provide an ongoing schedule of site developments to continually improve the customer experience
* Research competitors and organisations outside the sector to constantly enhance and develop the online
design programme
* Tell the brand story in a clear and unique way

Skills and Experience

* Degree in graphic design, web design or equivalent qualification.
* Solid experience in a similar role within a major transactional website.
* Strong commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail is critical
* Excellent project management skills, able to quickly establish priorities.
* A strong background in designing landing, home and product pages
* A strong understanding of the customer journey, IA and usability, placing the customer at the beginning,
middle and end of every design project.
* Advanced skill level of Adobe products- Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Fireworks and
Dreamweaver
* Advanced skill and able to hard code in XHTML, JavaScript, JQuery and CSS.
* A knowledge of HTML5 and Flash are desirable but not essential.
* Strong skill level of - MSWord, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
* Experienced in use of content management systems.
* Highly experienced in html email design, build and implementation of a quality brand.
* A strong understanding of SEO principles in design
* Able to closely follow a brief and have an active input in its construction
* Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to meet very tight deadlines.
* Proactive and positive attitude with excellent time management.
* Ability to work well in a team-orientated environment, and consistently produce work of the highest
quality.
* Strong command of written English and promotional messaging.
* A keen awareness of the differing properties of different browsers.
* The need to constantly innovate, find quick, better, more successful strategies to reach our audience.
* Able to help in the analysis the commercial value of your designs.
* Pragmatic approach to design, ensuring it works in all major browsers and fulfils commercial expectations.
* Experience of running own transactional website desirable but not essential.
